Hey everyone! Now that my magazine project is finished, I wanted to take some time to reflect on the whole process—the good parts, the challenges, and what I’ve learned. And this last post is finished as I sit on the bus back to Sevilla after 5 days break with my family!
When I started, choosing the theme “Academy Life” felt like the best option. Soccer is a big part of my life, and as a goalkeeper at Spain Soccer Academy, I knew I had experiences worth sharing. I thought about other topics, but none felt as personal or interesting to me. I knew I could show the hard work, friendships, and passion that make academy life special.

Choosing the magazine cover was harder than I expected. Each photo had good points, and I took my time deciding. In the end, I chose the colorful action shot because it showed the energy and excitement of academy soccer clearly. It was important for me that the readers could immediately feel involved in the action.
The article about goalkeepers was especially important to me. It allowed me to talk deeply about a position I understand well and really enjoy. Hearing my friends’ stories—even learning new things about them—made the article feel real and interesting. It reminded me how much goalkeeping is about staying mentally strong, teamwork, and always trying to improve. These are things I relate to a lot.

Keeping disciplined and staying focused on this project was sometimes tough. Balancing intense training, feeling tired, and even being sick made it difficult to stay motivated. But just like in goalkeeping, I learned how to keep going and stay focused even when things were hard.
Looking at the final magazine, I’m really happy with how it turned out. It doesn’t just look good and have interesting content—I also learned a lot about perseverance and managing my time. These lessons are very similar to what I’ve learned from goalkeeping—facing challenges, staying calm under pressure, and constantly improving my skills.

Overall, this project was really rewarding. It showed me again that working hard and not giving up brings good results, both in school and on the soccer field. Thanks for following along and supporting me!
Happy holidays, everyone!
