Hey everyone, and happy New Year! Apologies for not having posted for a while. It has been a bit of a hectic period.
Recently, when I was on vacation, one of my closest friends from the academy—who also happened to be a goalkeeper—left to go back to Australia. Saying farewell was difficult and disrupted my routine for a while.
I was organising a group interview with some goalkeepers at the academy, as you may recall from my previous piece. I had to rearrange things a little because my pal was going out. I made the decision to interview a different goalie, but I wanted to first ask him that He was certain that he was fine with it. Fortunately, he agreed, and the matter has been resolved!

The interview is scheduled for this weekend, which is exciting. It’s going to be great to finally sit down with my fellow goalkeepers and hear their stories and perspectives. I think it’ll add a lot of depth to the magazine and really highlight the camaraderie we share as goalkeepers.
On a personal note, being at the academy is teaching me a lot about balance. Juggling intense football training with my studies isn’t easy, but I’m learning how to manage my time better. It’s not just about getting through the day but also about finding ways to grow both on and off the pitch. I’m discovering the importance of discipline, setting priorities, and staying focused on my goals. While I’m still not the best at school, I’m starting to see how this balance is shaping me into a more professional and resilient person.
Once the interview is done, I’ll start working on the actual article next week. I’m aiming to capture not just the technical side of goalkeeping but also the unique bond we have as a group—something that I think most people don’t fully understand about our position.
I appreciate your patience and swear to provide more updates shortly. Keep an eye out!
